Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore Hotel is seeking a Banquet Manager/Captain. You will supervise banquet operations, oversee breakfast staff, manage event setup and teardown, and coordinate with kitchen, service, and engineering to ensure flawless service across restaurant, banquets, and room events.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of alcohol service regulations, and excellent guest relations in a 24/7 hotel environment in Tampa, FL.

Formación

• Must have two or more years of banquet manager/captain experience in a hotel.
• Hospitality industry practices knowledge is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of laws governing responsible alcohol service.
• Safe Serve certification is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food/beverage service, etiquette, and guest relations.
• Know-how of table settings, service ware, and banquet procedures.
• Clear English communication to instruct staff and understand guests.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment and related service gear.
• Demonstrated leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to supervise, train, and motivate a team while upholding service standards.
• Capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure guest orders are recorded, confirmed, and communicated to the kitchen.
• Oversee Breakfast staff; replenish condiments, restock supplies, and maintain standards.
• Monitor POS transactions; ensure accurate and efficient order processing.
• Oversee banquets and events; ensure compliance with BEO, procedures, and quality.
• Supervise function room setup; inspect for cleanliness and proper inventory.
• Communicate with kitchen, service, convention services, and engineering during events.
• Supervise cleanup, breakdown, and storage of equipment.
• Enter billing in Delphi; process payroll for each event and gratuity distribution.
• Attend BEO and pre-con meetings; assist servers and captains with events.
• Communicate clearly; assign tasks; monitor performance; foster teamwork.
