Job summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore Hotel is seeking a Banquet/Food & Beverage Manager to oversee banquet events, coordinate restaurant and catering operations, and ensure compliance with service standards.

The role requires experience in banquet management, strong leadership, and knowledge of alcohol service regulations; includes supervising banquet staff, coordinating with kitchen, and managing event billing.

Qualifications

• Must have two or more years of banquet manager and/or banquet captain experience.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry practices.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable state, federal, and company regulations regarding alcohol service.
• Safe Serve certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guest orders are accurately recorded, confirmed, and communicated to the kitchen staff.
• Oversee the Breakfast staff, ensuring all side work is completed and supplies are restocked.
• Monitor POS transactions and ensure accurate entry and efficient processing of orders.
• Oversee food and beverage preparation and service for restaurant operations, banquets, and catered events.
• Supervise function room setup and post-event cleaning and storage of equipment.
• Communicate with kitchen, service, convention services, and engineering to ensure timely execution and quality service.
• Attend BEO meetings and pre-cons, and assist servers with event execution.
• Maintain open communication to align with business objectives and motivate staff.
