Job summary

Marriott Raleigh Durham Research Triangle Park is seeking a Banquet Server to assist with event setup and breakdown, and to serve food and beverages in a friendly, professional manner according to hotel standards.

The role operates within a 24/7 environment with varying shifts. You will greet guests, support banquet operations, and ensure safety and cleanliness throughout events, adhering to all policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• English language sufficient to understand inquiries and communicate simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room per Banquet Event Order and instructions.
• Attend stand up meetings before events to learn function details.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Serve food and beverages per Banquet Captain expectations to ensure consistency.
• Bus dishes and clear banquet areas after service.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet rooms for subsequent functions as needed.
• Perform side work and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
