Job summary

Westwood Country Club in Austin, TX is seeking a dedicated Banquet Captain to lead on-site events, coordinate setup, service, and staff, and ensure flawless guest experiences in a fast-paced, high-end club environment.

You will supervise banquet servers and temporary staff, work with Culinary, Beverage, Events and Dining teams, follow BEOs, run-of-show documents, and complete Captain’s Reports after each function.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of banquet, catering, restaurant, hotel, or private club experience preferred.
• Current Food Handler and TABC certifications are required and must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the execution of events from setup through breakdown following BEOs and timelines.
• Serve as the on-site event lead, coordinating staff and ensuring guest experience.
• Read and follow all BEOs, floor plans, and run-of-show documents.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and training to banquet staff.
• Complete a Captain’s Report after events.
