Job summary

Loews Chicago O'Hare is seeking a Banquet Cook II to prepare hot and cold items for hotel banquets, conferences, weddings and corporate functions. This mid-level role supports Banquet Cook I and culinary leadership to ensure high-quality, large-volume production with consistency and efficiency.

You will set up and operate banquet stations, assist in plating and service, and maintain mise en place and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years in hotel banquet or catering kitchen.
  • Knowledge of banquet-style service and large-volume cooking.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook hot and cold menu items per BEOs and hotel recipes.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain banquet kitchen stations.
  • Assist in plating and food service for buffet and plated meals.
