* Shifts: varies - must be available weekends

Position Summary:

Responsible for preparing food items required for all dining room orders and events, while following local health and department standards, Suburban Inns’ Core Values, Hilton/Embassy Suites standards, and going above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

• Report to work in a professional, neat, and clean uniform
• Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner. Ask questions and make personal connections to make them feel welcome and valued
• Anticipate and meet guest needs and expectations, then exceed them
• Prepare all required items according to recipes/make sheets
• Set up service units with needed items
• Serve items according to established portions and presentation standards
• Notify the Kitchen Manager of expected shortages
• Ensure work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary
• Assist in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen
• Set up, maintain, and break down prep stations
• Requisition items needed for menu production
• Adhere to local health and safety regulations
• Maintain required logs for health department
• Store leftovers properly with date and labeling
• Maintain high sanitary standards
• Maintain regular attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Uniform and Appearance Guidelines:

Uniform: Provided shirt and name tag. Black slacks and close-toed, non-slip shoes are the responsibility of the team member.

Appearance: Earrings are allowed only in the ears or must be covered during shifts. Hair must be natural-colored and well-groomed. The supervisor will administer appearance policies without discrimination. The Director of Operations has authority to veto any decisions made by supervisors.
