Job summary

Turf Valley Resort, located in Ellicott City, MD, is hiring banquet cooks for AM and PM shifts. Base pay is $16.00 per hour, with duties to prepare items to recipes, ensure timely guest orders, and maintain strict sanitation and safety standards.

The role requires standing up to 8 hours, manual dexterity for repetitive motions, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. The Banquet Department offers growth and a family-style work environment within a renowned resort setting.

Qualifications

• Proficiency inCooking techniques: charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sauté, braising, roasting, par-cooking.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Food safety certification required.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
• Requires repetitive hand motions, bending, lifting and moving an excess of 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Preparing food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Preparing guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
• Maintaining cleanliness and complying with food sanitation standards at all times.
• Visually inspecting all food sent from the kitchen to ensure plates are clean and appetizing.
• Practicing safe food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations.

Requirements
