Job summary

CMC Hotels is seeking a motivated Banquet Captain for our brand-new Westin property in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on planning dining events, managing F&B service, and addressing guest requests and concerns with a focus on service excellence.

The position requires banquet and hotel experience, strong communication, and the ability to supervise staff, coordinate with culinary teams, and uphold health and safety standards within a fast-paced event environment.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
• Outstanding customer service skills required.
• Must be flexible and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight up to 50 lbs.
• Good communication skills and ability to multi-task.
• Previous banquet experience preferred.
• Previous hotel experience a plus.
• Clean Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Plan dining events and manage F&B service.
• Tend to guest requests and complaints.
• Supervise banquet staff and ensure room is set and left clean.
• Prepare room for function and manage seating diagrams.
• Coordinate with culinary/ catering teams on schedule and changes.
• Follow health and safety regulations.
• Assist with bar back duties as required.

Our Brand New Westin is seeking a motivated and energized Banquet Captain who will be responsible for planning dining events, manage F&B service, and tend to guests requests and complaints.

Job Duties:

• Ensuring that all food and beverage items are presented and server correctly and noting any special requests & instructions, se out on the BEO’s.
• Communicating with the culinary chef and catering manager any changes in the schedule of service, challenges or adverse comments that may arise during the event.
• Ensure that staff members return all equipment to the storage areas, and confirm the room is left clean and tidy.
• Supervise all banquet staff members assigned to event
• Responsible for preparing room in its entirety for a function or event, prior to the guest’s arrival and reviewing and implementing table and seating diagrams.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Assist with all reasonable bar back duties as required.
