Job summary

Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas, TX is seeking a Banquet Captain to assist the Banquet Manager with leading the banquet team and ensuring the Brook Hollow standard of service. You will oversee setup, coordinate with the culinary team, and manage staff throughout events to deliver exceptional experiences.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, customer service, and multitasking abilities, with proficiency in basic computer tasks. Weekend/holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years as banquet captain or similar role.
• Excellent leadership, teaching and motivational skills.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to produce consumption reports.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, overtime if needed.
• Team-oriented, courteous and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Lead the banquet team and supervise staff during events.
• Monitor and manage inventory of china, glass, and silverware.
• Oversee banquet event setup per service type and CEO descriptions.
• Coordinate timing with Culinary Team and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure Brook Hollow standard of food and beverage service.
• Provide training and supervision to banquet staff.
• Communicate with guests before, during, and after events to exceed expectations.
• Direct pre-function meetings and handle special décor for buffets.
• Perform additional duties as needed by management.
• Tend to guest questions and requests; assist other areas in off-season.

Clubhouse ManagerJob SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Captain to assist the Banquet Manager with leading the banquet team. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable of all aspects of banquet service, possess excellent leadership and customer service skills, and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Duties of the Banquet Captain are to include but not limited to:Working knowledge of club policies and guidelines as outlined in Brook Hollow Golf Club’s Employee HandbookMonitor and manage inventory of china, glass, and silverwareOversee banquet event set-up according to the CEO descriptions and type of service the event requiresCommunicate with the Culinary Team to coordinate the timing of courses and execute any dietary restrictionsEnsuring the food and beverage service is up to the Brook Hollow standardProvide training and supervision to banquet staff throughout the events to provide excellent serviceCommunicate with the guest before, during, and after the event to exceed expectationsResponsible for ensuring staff is aware and ready to execute daily assignments and side work to be completed in their respective areasCreating innovative and creative décor for buffet spacesDirects pre-function meetings as neededPerform additional duties as directed by a manager or supervisorTending to guests’ requests, questions, and complaintsWorks in other areas during banquet off season.
