Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a Banquet Captain to lead all aspects of banquet functions, including catering event setup, delivering ridiculously personal experiences for guests.

Coordinate spaces with clients and kitchen, supervise service, ensure safety and sanitation, and assist with staff scheduling. Requires 2+ years of banquet leadership, fluency with Excel/Word/POS, and a flexible evenings/weekends schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a banquet captain or senior server.
• Hotel banquet experience is a plus.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and POS systems.
• Strong organization, initiative and multi-tasking.
• Passion for food and guest service, excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate meeting spaces for banquet and catering events with BEO compliance.
• Work with kitchen staff on food timing to meet event orders.
• Follow sanitation procedures for food safety.
• Assist with scheduling of employees.
• Complete guest checks accurately and provide outstanding service.
• Adhere to established processes and procedures.
