Job summary

Golden Nugget Las Vegas is seeking a Banquet Staff member to prepare rooms for banquet functions, assist in operations and deliver high levels of guest service in a fast-paced environment.

You will liaise with event hosts, kitchen staff and servers, ensure proper setup per BEO and specifications, and help maintain cleanliness, safety and organization while delivering KEEP brand standards of Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Capable of lifting and moving heavy objects, 50 pounds or more.
• Leadership and supervision skills: the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
• Strong customer service and guest satisfaction focus.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
• Act as a liaison between the event host, guests, kitchen staff, and servers, and ensure high standards of service and safety.
• Set up/reset the banquet space in a timely manner according to BEO, Spec Sheet and management instruction.
• Ensure the event space is clean, organized, and set up per BEO including tables, chairs, linens, and equipment.
• Supervise banquet setup staff and coordinate food and beverage service ensuring dietary needs are met.
• Assist other banquet personnel and adhere to policies and health laws.
• Know locations of all Golden Nugget outlets and services available to guests.
• Oversee breakdown and cleanup of the event space and document related tasks.
• May be involved in inventory management and training new staff.
