Job summary

Qualifications

Position Summary

Banquet Captain

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise F&B staff during banquet setup, service, and teardown.
• Coordinate table draping, silverware placement, napkin folding, and centerpieces.
• Oversee time‑sensitive food and beverage preparation, ensuring timely delivery to event venues.
• Direct banquet staff to provide excellent customer service, including serving, clearing, and bussing tables.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, tables, and counters before, during, and after events.
• Communicate with kitchen staff and chefs to align service with client requirements.
• Conduct pre‑event briefings and post‑event evaluations with staff.
• Resolve guest issues promptly and professionally, ensuring overall satisfaction.
• Maintain awareness of safety issues, such as broken glass or frayed cords, and report as necessary.
• Assist with the organization of back‑hall and storerooms, and with event room setup for different meal periods.
• Support additional events and restaurant staff as required.

Qualifications
