Job summary

Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach, MO is seeking a Full Time banquet server. The role requires delivering exceptional guest service, knowledge of menu items, and supervisory responsibilities during events.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the banquet team, upholding facility standards, and handling guest feedback. Must maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively in English; some Spanish helpful.

Qualifications

• Must have banquet functions and/or supervisory experience.
• Excellent English communication with guests, associates and vendors.
• Able to handle high-pressure conditions and adapt to changes.
• Demonstrates professionalism and personal growth mindset.
• Spanish language is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with high-quality service in a warm, friendly manner.
• Monitor service level and guest comfort throughout events.
• Know all menu items, specials, beverages and wines.
• Serve items with appropriate china, glassware, silverware and garnish.
• Address guest compliments or complaints and escalate to management.
• Meet with function group leader to discuss last-minute changes and setup arrangements.
• Ensure proper cleaning of equipment after functions.
• Supervise banquet team members during functions.
• Assist staff with room set-ups, food service, and cleanup as needed.
• Maintain Margaritaville Lake Resort standards of food, beverage and guest service.
• Deliver exceptional product to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Operate a departmental radio with ear-piece during shifts.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age

Reports to: Director of Catering Operations, Banquet Department

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with the finest quality of service at all times and in a warm, enthusiastic and friendly manner.
• Continuously monitor the guest’s service level and comfort at all times.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines.
• Serve all items utilizing appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
• Take ownership of all guest compliments or complaints and relay the same to management.
• Meet with function group leader to determine last‑minute changes and discuss various set‑up arrangements.
• Ensure proper cleaning of all equipment after functions are completed.
• Supervise assigned banquet team members throughout functions.
• Assist staff with room set‑ups, food service, and clean up when necessary.
• Maintain Driftwood and hotel standards of food, beverage, and quality guest service.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by delivering an exceptional product.
• Must have a departmental radio system with ear‑piece at all times.
• Attend required meetings.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.

  • Relevant experience of banquet functions and/or supervisory experience is required.
  • A basic understanding of and ability to speak Spanish is useful but is not a requirement.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Minimum lifting and/or pulling of 40 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
  • If weight exceeds 40 pounds, asking for assistance is required.
  • Reading, hearing, writing.
