Job summary

Birchwood Farms Golf & Country Club is seeking a Banquet Captain to plan, prepare, and execute all banquet activities, ensuring guest and member satisfaction.

You will work with the Director of Catering and Executive Chef to set timelines, menus, and service standards, while supervising and training a team to meet high quality expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years banquet service and/or restaurant experience.
• 2+ years of bartending experience.
• Driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute all banquet activities to ensure guest and member satisfaction.
• Work with Director of Catering and Executive Chef on timelines, menus, and service standards.
• Supervise and train banquet staff to meet team guarantees and quality expectations.

A Banquet Captain at Birchwood will help plan, prepare and execute all banquet activities with a goal of ensuring satisfaction from guests and membership. This position would work with the Director of Catering and Executive Chef to determine event timelines, menus, and service standards. This position would have the responsibility of supervising and training a team.

Physical setting:

• Banquets and Private Dining

Schedule:

• Day shifts
• Evening shifts
• Weekend are a must due to flexibility during the week
• Guaranteed 4 th of July off
• Will have most Mondays off

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• 2 years of banquet service and/or restaurants
• 2 years of Bartending

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• Oversee setup and breakdown for all banquet events
• Supervise and train staff and follow Team Guarantees
• Follow all sanitary regulations
• Practice FIFO Inventory control
• Promptly and professionally serve member and guest food and beverage orders ensuring quality and accuracy
