Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Captain for the beautiful Interlocken Hotel!

The Banquet Captain will work closely with the Director of Banquets and Banquet Leaders to execute all banquet operations, ensuring high guest satisfaction. This role involves overseeing food and beverage service for functions, maintaining Omni’s professional standards, and ensuring timely service.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $25.00/hour (based on experience). Omni Interlocken Resort reserves the right to adjust pay based on various factors.

Responsibilities

1. Control all aspects of banquet functions execution.
2. Supervise banquet staff during food and beverage service.
3. Coordinate all banquet staff activities during service.
4. Assist the Banquet Manager in departmental operations.
5. Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and liquor liability laws.
6. Conduct staff and pre-function meetings.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, managing hazards and extreme temperatures.
8. Work with food and beverage cleaning chemicals safely.

Qualifications

• Team player with a positive attitude.
• 2-3 years of banquet supervisory experience.
• Experience handling beverages.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to handle cash and coin transactions.
• Valid TIPS and Food Handler's certifications prior to hire.
