Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts seeks a Banquet Captain to lead banquet staff and ensure smooth function setup and breakdown at our Baltimore location. You’ll supervise service, maintain safety standards, and communicate clearly with guests throughout events.

One year of hotel banquet captain experience, Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness certifications are required. Flex shifts including days/evenings/weekends offered to accommodate personal life.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a Banquet Captain preferably at a hotel.
• Food Handler certification.
• Alcohol Awareness certification.

Here is what you will be doing each day:

In this role, you will supervise banquet staff in the completion of the assigned functions and set-up, as well as oversee the service and break-down functions in a safe manner. Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Ability to meet standards of appearance. Can communicate well with guests. Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help coworkers with their job duties and be a team player.

You have at least one year of experience as a Banquet Captain preferably at a hotel. You have your Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness certification. You don’t shy away from physical work and take pride in providing our guest with memorable service and experience. You are looking for some flexibility in a job, so working a variety of different shifts, including days, evenings and weekends works for your personal life.
