Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore Inner Harbor is seeking a Banquet Captain to lead banquet staff, oversee setup and service for events, and ensure safe breakdowns. English communication required; teamwork and a professional appearance are expected.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 30 lbs and willingness to pitch in with duties as part of a hospitality team. Candidates should have at least one year of Banquet Captain experience in a hotel setting and hold Food Handler and Alcohol

Here is what you will be doing each day:

In this role, you will s upervise banquet staff in the completion of the assigned functions and set-up, as well as oversee the service and break-down functions in a safe manner. Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Ability to meet standards of appearance. Can communicate well with guests. Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help coworkers with their job duties and be a team player.

Does this sound like you?

You have at least one year of experience as a Banquet Captain preferably at a hotel. You have your Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness certification. You don’t shy away from physical work and take pride in providing our guest with memorable service and experience. You are looking for some flexibility in a job, so working a variety of different shifts, including days, evenings and weekends works for your personal life.
