As a Banquet Bartender, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional beverage service during banquet events at the hotel. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Your attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and efficient service will contribute to the success of each event and enhance the overall guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a diverse selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to guest preferences and event requirements.
  • Mix cocktails, pour wine and beer, and prepare specialty drinks with accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensure prompt and courteous service to guests, adhering to established service standards.
  • Set up and organize the bar area prior to each event, including stocking supplies, arranging glassware, and ensuring cleanliness.
  • Monitor inventory levels of beverages, garnishes, and supplies, and replenish as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the bar area throughout the event, including regular cleaning of equipment and surfaces.
  • Greet guests warmly, understand their drink preferences, offer recommendations, and promptly fulfill requests to create a positive experience.
  • Coordinate with staff and event planners for smooth beverage service, effectively communicate to prioritize tasks, and address guest concerns or special requests.
  • Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and hotel policies regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling and serving alcoholic beverages, including checking identification and monitoring guest consumption.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following sanitation guidelines and practicing safe food handling procedures.

Required Experience

  • Previous experience as a bartender in a banquet or hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as cocktail preparation techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS) may be required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate event schedules.

Working Conditions/Environment

  • The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day .
  • Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
  • The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
