Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is hiring for seasonal positions at Snowshoe, WV. Pay is $10 per hour plus tips, with start dates at the end of November and beginning of December.

The role involves preparing event spaces, coordinating AV equipment, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a dynamic conference setting. Benefits include medical coverage, free resort privileges, 401k, and staff discounts on Ikon Passes and restaurants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays may be required.
• Experience in hospitality or guest services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare function space: vacuum, remove trash, set up supplies (tables, chairs, AV equipment) per Event Order.
• Build relationships with group leaders; assist with AV/thermostat use and provide supplies.
• Enhance guest experience by refreshing supplies and enforcing center policies.
• Maintain Conference Center: clean, vacuum, check bulbs, report maintenance needs.
• Manage AV equipment storage, safety, and functionality; report issues.
• Oversee supplies and restock as needed; open/close Conference Center and manage access.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare function space: Vacuum, remove trash, set up supplies (tables, chairs, AV equipment) per Event Order, ensure AV equipment works.

• Enhance guest experience: Refresh supplies (ice water, candy), remove trash, enforce Conference Center policies.
• Maintain Conference Center: Clean and break down space, vacuum, check light bulbs, and report maintenance needs.
• Manage AV equipment: Ensure proper storage, safety, and functionality, clean equipment, and report issues.
• Oversee supplies: Notify manager when supplies (candy, pens, etc.) are low, restock as needed.
• Open/close Conference Center: Manage doors, lighting, music, thermostats, and security.
• Foster good relationships: Collaborate with other departments, ensure guest satisfaction, respond to feedback.
• Support growth: Share ideas with manager, contribute to team results.
• Adapt to evolving role: Responsibilities may change as resort and position evolve.
