Job summary

Kastech Software Solutions Group is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to drive Banner SaaS integration programs across student, finance and HR domains. The role focuses on defining patterns, contracts, and mappings, while coordinating with analysts, developers, and client IT teams to deliver build-ready solutions.

You will review designs, assess interfaces, and identify risks early, enabling reliable delivery and client-focused discovery discussions in a hybrid setup in TX and beyond.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Ellucian Banner, preferably including Banner SaaS or Banner modernization programs.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise integrations, APIs, flat files, batch interfaces, and middleware-led designs.
• Strong understanding of source-to-target mapping, data transformation, and interface architecture.
• Experience in higher education ERP environments.
• Ability to lead technical workshops and communicate clearly with functional and technical stakeholders.

Location: Richmond, TX or Houston, TX — Hybrid onsite OR Remote (Non-Locals to TX)

• Lead solution architecture for Banner SaaS integrations across student, finance, HR, and related systems
• Define integration patterns, data contracts, mapping standards, error handling, logging, and reconciliation approaches
• Assess current-state interfaces and recommend future-state designs
• Partner with business analysts, developers, client IT teams, and third-party vendors to move integrations into build-ready scope
• Review technical designs and code to maintain consistency and quality
• Identify dependencies, risks, and environment constraints early in the lifecycle
• Support estimation, proposal development, and client-facing discovery discussions

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience with Ellucian Banner, preferably including Banner SaaS or Banner modernization programs
• Hands-on experience with enterprise integrations, APIs, flat files, batch interfaces, and middleware-led designs
• Strong understanding of source-to-target mapping, data transformation, and interface architecture
• Experience in higher education ERP environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with MuleSoft, Ethos, or similar integration platforms
• Experience supporting migration from on-prem Banner to SaaS
• Familiarity with student systems, reporting, and institutional data flows
