Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Associate in the Boston area. The role focuses on high-profile Chapter 11 proceedings, corporate restructurings, workouts and insolvency litigation, representing debtors, creditors and committees.

Candidates should have strong bankruptcy court experience, exceptional writing and client-management skills, and a clear path toward partnership. Ideal candidates hold a J.D.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with 3–5 years of bankruptcy and corporate restructuring experience.
• Substantial Chapter 11 experience representing debtors, creditors and/or official committees of unsecured creditors.
• Strong bankruptcy court experience including drafting and arguing motions, participating in hearings and managing contested matters.
• Admission to the applicable state bar or active progress toward admission in the jurisdiction of the primary office.
• Experience in a sophisticated large-law-firm environment (Am Law 200).
• Strong academics plus exceptional legal research, writing, analytic and advocacy skills.
• Ability to take ownership of sophisticated matters and work well in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Represent debtors, creditors and official committees in Chapter 11 proceedings and corporate restructurings.
• Handle matters involving reorganizations, out-of-court workouts and insolvency-related litigation.
• Draft motions, pleadings, briefs and other substantive bankruptcy filings.
• Prepare for and participate in court hearings and contested matters.
• Manage multiple complex engagements with responsiveness and client service.
• Collaborate with partners and multidisciplinary teams across offices on high-visibility matters.
• Provide strategic guidance to clients through complex financial and legal challenges.
