BANKRUPTCY & RESTRUCTURING ASSOCIATE (4-8 YEARS)

Porter Hedges LLP is seeking a talented and motivated mid-to-senior level associate with 4 to 8 years of experience to join our premier Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice group. We represent a diverse roster of clients, including debtors, creditors, trustees, creditors' committees, institutional lenders, and investors, in out-of-court debt restructurings, acquisitions, financings, and Chapters 7, 9, and 11 bankruptcies across the United States.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling both transactional restructuring matters and sophisticated bankruptcy litigation. This role offers significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work on high-profile national and regional cases.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• 4 to 8 years of dedicated legal experience in corporate bankruptcy, financial restructuring, and bankruptcy litigation.
• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Active member in good standing of the Texas Bar or eligible for admission by waiver.

SKILLS

• Deep understanding of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, local bankruptcy rules, and commercial law.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently under tight deadlines.
• Strong commercial awareness and a practical, problem-solving approach to complex financial matters.
