Job summary

The Mortgage Law Firm in Texas seeks a detail‑oriented paralegal to support foreclosure litigation defense and creditor bankruptcy cases. You will assist attorneys with pleadings, motions, notices and orders, and manage document repositories.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a law firm, paralegal certification, and proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel and legal research tools; experience with bankruptcy or mortgage servicing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a law firm.
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program; a BA and paralegal cert; or equivalent education/experience.
• Bankruptcy or Mortgage Servicer experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bankruptcy motions, judgments and stipulations, objections, complaints, notices and orders.
• Research and retrieves relevant documents from client databases
• Updates appropriate information in client databases
• E-files documents with courts
• Calendaring
• Sets up court hearings and meetings
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
