Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected law firm to recruit an experienced bankruptcy paralegal. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a legal professional with experience supporting bankruptcy, insolvency, restructuring, and creditors rights matters.

The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys on complex bankruptcy proceedings while managing court filings, case deadlines, financial documentation, and ongoing case administration.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting bankruptcy, insolvency, restructuring, and creditors rights matters.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy procedures, court rules and filing requirements.
• Familiar with PACER and electronic court filing systems.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide paralegal support to attorneys handling bankruptcy and related matters.
• Prepare petitions, schedules, statements, proofs of claim, motions, notices, and other bankruptcy related documents.
• Assist with Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 proceedings as applicable.
• Monitor court dockets and maintain calendars for hearings and filing deadlines.
• Submit electronic filings with bankruptcy courts and other courts.
• Conduct case research and retrieve court records using PACER and related systems.
• Review financial statements, loan documents, contracts, and other bankruptcy records.
• Assist with creditor claims, objections, and asset recovery.
• Organize and maintain electronic case files and documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, trustees, creditors, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
• Assist with discovery, document production, and hearing preparation when needed.
• Prepare exhibits, case summaries, and hearing materials.
