Job summary

The Mortgage Law Firm in Wisconsin seeks a paralegal to support foreclosure litigation defense and creditor bankruptcy matters. You will assist attorneys by preparing pleadings, notices, and orders, researching documents, and filing with courts.

This role requires meticulous document handling and customization for each filing. Responsibilities include e-filing in multiple courts, organizing client databases, and coordinating hearings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a law firm.
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program or equivalent education/experience.
• Bankruptcy or Mortgage Servicer experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of bankruptcy motions, judgments and stipulations, objections, complaints, notices and orders
• Researches and retrieves relevant documents from various client databases
• Updates appropriate information in various client databases
• E-files documents with various courts
• Sets up court hearings and meetings
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management
