Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings
• Draft legal documents including petitions, motions, pleadings, and memoranda
• Conduct legal research and stay informed on changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations
• Prepare clients for hearings and attend proceedings before bankruptcy courts
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and paralegals to develop case strategies
• Negotiate with creditors and trustees to protect client interests
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation
• Provide high-quality legal advice and empathetic guidance to clients facing financial distress

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania (or eligible for admission)
• 4–7 years of experience in bankruptcy law preferred
• Strong communication, writing, and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of federal bankruptcy code and related case law
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with bankruptcy software and e-filing systems is a plus
