A leading law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy Associate with 4-7 years of experience to join its nationally recognized Financial Restructuring group in New York. This team advises on high-stakes, complex U.S. and cross-border insolvency matters, with a strong presence in Latin America and Eastern Europe. The role offers the opportunity to work alongside top-ranked restructuring attorneys in a fast-paced, collaborative, and globally focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent creditors, investors, distressed companies, and other stakeholders in complex U.S. and cross-border bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings.
• Handle Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 cases, contested matters, and out-of-court restructurings.
• Advise first and second lien lenders, bondholders, hedge funds, and institutional investors.
• Engage in cross-border, multidisciplinary deals and restructurings.
• Appear before trial and appellate courts in high-stakes insolvency and restructuring matters.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of substantive bankruptcy and restructuring experience.
• Proven experience representing clients in large-scale U.S. and international insolvencies and restructurings.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Prior experience at a large law firm is required.
