Border Bank is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Customer Support Specialist to join our team. This position offers the flexibility to work at any Border Bank location in Fargo, ND, or Badger, Baudette, Clearbrook, Coon Rapids, Greenbush, International Falls, Middle River, Roseau, or Thief River Falls, MN.

You will handle inquiries via voice, email, and other channels, maintain product knowledge, and strive to resolve issues at first contact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Previous customer service and/or banking experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain composed and adaptable in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
• Comfortable using multiple computer systems and tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers in an accurate, courteous, and customer-focused manner.
• Respond to customer inquiries through voice, email, and other communication channels as needed.
• Listen actively, ask thoughtful questions, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of Border Bank products, services, procedures, and general information to assist customers effectively.
• Work to resolve customer requests or concerns at the first point of contact whenever possible.
• Take ownership of customer interactions and follow through to a positive resolution.
• Use sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and available resources to address customer needs.
• Protect the security and confidentiality of bank, customer, and employee information by following established verification standards.
• Navigate multiple systems, screens, and tools while assisting customers.
• Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including possible evenings and weekends.
• Represent Border Bank positively in customer, employee, and community interactions.
• Support other bank activities as needed as part of the broader team.
