Five Star Bank seeks a Director of Operations to lead daily operations at 220 Liberty St, Warsaw, NY, overseeing Loan Servicing and Deposit Operations while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Head of Operations & Integration, you will drive continuous improvement, coach managers, and pursue automation to boost efficiency within a strong control framework. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in banking operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in banking operations required.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong operational and process management expertise.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Deep understanding of banking operations and controls.
• Proven ability to lead change and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily operations across Loan Servicing and Deposit Operations, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Serve as primary escalation point for operational issues, incidents, and risk events.
• Ensure compliance with audits, regulatory standards, and internal risk controls.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls to minimize operational risk.
• Develop, coach, and lead managers and teams; foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with Technology and business units to support system enhancements and transformation.
• Monitor operational performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable operational plans and ensure execution.
• Support budget management, cost control, and productivity improvements.
