Job summary

Synergy Bank in New Roads, LA is seeking a friendly Customer Service Representative to help customers open and manage accounts, explore digital banking, and address inquiries.

You will build relationships, educate clients on deposit and lending options, process transactions, and ensure compliance with CIP/KYC while delivering outstanding service. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role in a community-focused banking environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of banking, new accounts, or related financial services experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to build trust and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with customers through personalized and attentive service.
• Assist customers with account inquiries, account maintenance, and service requests.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Support online banking, mobile banking, debit cards, and other digital banking services.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource regarding bank products, services, and procedures.
• Conduct consultative conversations to understand customer needs.
• Recommend deposit, lending, treasury management, and electronic banking products that align with customer goals.
• Open consumer and business deposit accounts.
• Complete account documentation and onboarding activities.
• Maintain customer records and process account changes accurately.
• Ensure compliance with CIP, Know Your Customer (KYC), and regulatory requirements.
• Process wire transfers and related documentation.
• Assist with business online banking services.
• Manage safe deposit box records and leasing activities.
• Handle debit card disputes and coordinate fraud-related matters.
• Follow all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Protect confidential customer information.
• Identify and elevate potential fraud, suspicious activity, and operational risks.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
