Barclay Simpson is seeking a senior specialist to act as the technical bridge between engineering and major banks implementing modern cryptographic infrastructure. The role involves engaging with CISOs, security architects and banking teams to deploy HSM-backed systems that meet regulatory and operational requirements.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on HSM and key management experience, and will lead secure banking infrastructure through architecture, security reviews and production go-live,

This specialist cryptography company of around 30 people is at an exciting stage of its development. Having built its reputation developing modern key management and MPC technology, it is now helping banks adopt that infrastructure inside highly regulated environments.

As part of its growth plans, the company seeks an individual who can become the technical bridge between the engineering team and major banks adopting modern cryptographic infrastructure.

The role involves sitting across the table from CISOs, security architects and banking infrastructure teams, helping them deploy technology that must satisfy engineering, operations, audit and regulatory requirements. This means understanding HSM-backed environments, key management, operational resilience, and the practicalities of delivering secure systems into production within a bank.

Ideal candidates have led secure banking infrastructure through architecture, security review and production go-live, possess genuine hands‑on experience with HSMs and key management, and enjoy working at the intersection of engineering, compliance and customer engagement.

The position is fully remote across Europe, the UK or the USA. Applicants must be based in one of these locations.

The base salary depends on location but will be competitive. Equity participation and visa support are available.
