Job summary

First Merchants in Wisconsin seeks a customer-focused banking associate to support daily branch operations and help clients manage their financial needs.

You will handle cash, answer inquiries, promote bank products, and participate in sales meetings while upholding security and compliance. This role offers growth within a collaborative team and a strong benefits package. A High School diploma and 3 months of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months of sales, cash handling, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests for banking transactions.
• Answer customer inquiries and problems with solutions that meet the customer’s current needs.
• Continually build customer loyalty and advocates.
• Balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM.
• Understand and ensure compliance, regulations and reporting.
• Follow information security policy and verification procedures to protect customer privacy.
• Assist with opening and/or closing banking center.
• Sell bank products, making customer referrals and other activities to support the goals.
• Know about all bank products.
• Participate in daily/weekly meetings and coaching sessions.
