Job summary

JVS SoCal is seeking a BankWork$ Instructor to deliver coaching and training sessions for the BankWork$ program, using existing curriculum and developing additional curriculum in soft skills, business acumen and job-search techniques to support graduates toward full employment.

The role also involves working with ICO to recruit and screen candidates, build relationships with area banks for placement opportunities, and to ensure high-quality instruction across multiple sites in greater Los

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in social services, social work, education, business or related field.
• Minimum three to five years’ experience in multiple disciplines.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a retail banking environment
• Minimum two years’ experience conducting classroom training for adults
• Experience with multi-cultural and/or low- to moderate-income populations
• Proficient with PC, Microsoft Office Suite and Internet tools; able to deliver curriculum using an LMS and assist students accessing LMS

Responsibilities

• Use provided curriculum to deliver BankWork$ training classes
• Provide individual and group job preparation coaching
• Coach clients on resumes, cover letters, and online job applications
• Coordinate with Director to maximize participant placement in employment banking positions
• Interview candidates for enrollment and administer testing to determine eligibility
• Maintain accurate documentation on classroom performance for each student
• Deliver instruction at other locations as needed
• Show ability to interact with people of different cultures
• Perform related duties as assigned by management
