Job summary

RBC Beaconsfield is seeking a client-focused Banking Advisor to support everyday banking, credit, and investment needs. The role requires the ability to travel between RBC locations and deliver exceptional client service.

You will engage with clients, educate them on digital banking, and collaborate with partners to identify opportunities and referrals. A strong focus on client outcomes and ethical conduct is essential.

Qualifications

  • Mutual Funds accreditation or willingness to obtain it.
  • Proven ability to succeed in a target-driven sales environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and people skills with client focus.
  • Flexibility, eagerness to learn, and high ethical standards.
  • Digital literacy across devices (phones, tablets, laptops).
  • Fluency in English and French required for regular client service.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with clients at the branch and in the community to uncover banking needs and opportunities.
  • Educate clients and demonstrate use of digital banking to enhance experiences and drive sales.
  • Assist clients with a full range of financial transactions and respond to inquiries.
  • Listen actively to understand individual client needs and build trust.
  • Collaborate with RBC partners to maximize referrals and opportunities.

What will you do?
  • Proactively engage with clients in all areas of the branch and in the community, uncovering banking needs, providing help and advice, as well as identifying sales and referral opportunities
  • Focus on client education and demonstration, leveraging technology to deliver a memorable client experience, drive sales, and retain business
  • Respond to client-initiated contact, assisting them with a full range of financial transactions
  • Actively listen and engage clients in conversation to further understand their individual needs
  • Proactively take ownership of resolving and preventing client banking problems
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with partners to make the most of business opportunities and referrals
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
  • Mutual Funds accreditation, or willingness to obtain it (i.e., Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course)
  • Demonstrated passion for putting clients first, as well as success in a hands-on, target-driven sales environment
  • Problem-solving and people skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and proactively connect with clients
  • Flexibility, eagerness to learn, strong personal ethics, and a hunger for success
  • Digital literacy across a broad range of devices (i.e., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.)
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking needs.
Nice-to-have
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining client relationships in the finance or service sector
