Skowhegan Savings Bank is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our Main Office team in Skowhegan, Maine. This full-time, onsite role handles AP, reconciliations, and basic accounting duties with growth potential.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree in accounting or 1–2 years of accounting experience, and proficiency in MS Excel and Word. Excellent customer service and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Accounts Payable experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains AP systems, processes invoices weekly and researches AP as needed.
• Maintains the bank’s corporate credit card program and monthly receipts/statements.
• Prepares year-end 1099s.
• Prepares Use Tax filings each quarter.
• Assists other departments with internal controls via Abandoned Property.
