Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience helpful, especially in a financial environment.
• Basic knowledge of commercial and consumer loan services and procedures preferred.
• Familiarity with general loan documentation helpful.
• Accurate and attentive to detail.
• Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Good typing skills and basic computer use.
• Willing and able to help others.
• Able to use standard office equipment and work well with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and projects the Bank's professional reputation.
• Helps other area personnel as required.
• Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems.
• Attends meetings as required.
• Serves as a representative for D.L. Evans Bank in the community.
• Promotes D.L. Evans Bank at all times.
• Obtains and conveys information as needed.
• Coordinates functions with related departments and branches and provides support as needed.
• Completes special projects as assigned.
• Receives deposits in person or by mail.
• Receives loan payments in person or by mail.
• Processes cash advances, gift/travel cards, cashier's checks, government bonds, and similar transactions.
• Disburses cash for checks/withdrawals and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Processes transfers and end-of-day balances.
• Verifies transactions and detects discrepancies promptly.
• Maintains security of the work area and cash handling.
• Places holds on uncollected funds when necessary.
• Prepares and executes funding of loan packages and related documents.
• Reviews loan documentation and files and types loan forms.
• Balances general ledger accounts as required.
