Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of bank operations policies and procedures preferred.
• Basic cash handling skills/experience preferred.
• Able to operate related computer applications and business equipment, including adding machine, typewriter, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, telephone, scanner, and branch capture machine.
• Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Good typing skills.
• Good math skills.

Responsibilities

• Represents the Bank in a courteous and professional manner.
• Receives deposits and loan payments in person or by mail.
• Processes cash advances, gift/travel cards, cashiers' checks, government bonds, and similar transactions.
• Disburses cash for checks/withdrawals and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Processes transfers and balances at end of day.
• Verifies transactions, monitors deposit amounts, and resolves discrepancies promptly.
• Maintains security of the work area and drawers when leaving.
• Places holds on uncollected funds as needed per policy.
• Responds to customer requests and questions promptly.
• Operates online teller terminal and provides information about accounts.
• Receives account holders' change of address and forwards documentation.
• Maintains privacy of customer information and company reputation.
• Directs calls and records messages when necessary.
• Supports other area personnel as required.
• Keeps management informed of activities and issues.
• Completes required reports and records accurately.
• Performs drive-up teller and night drops as assigned.
• Cross-sells bank services with knowledge of all bank products.
• Keeps work area and equipment clean and maintained.
• Completes special projects and attends meetings as required.
• Maintains the professional reputation of D.L. Evans Bank and promotes the bank in the community.
