Job summary

Princeville State Bank is seeking a friendly teller to join our community-focused team in Princeville, IL. The ideal candidate will deliver warm, accurate service to customers and support daily banking operations with integrity.

You will open, maintain and close basic accounts, handle cash with care, respond to inquiries by phone and in person, educate customers on identity theft and fraud prevention, perform teller duties, and engage in local community activities as part of our dedicated staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of retail customer service; 1 year banking experience preferred.
• Cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Opens, maintains, and closes customer accounts.
• Provides high level customer service in person and by phone.
• Educates customers on Identity Theft and Fraud.
• Performs Teller responsibilities.
• Engages in community activities and represents the bank in the community.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

Interested in working in a community bank environment that places a high level of value in its employees, customers, and communities we serve?DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the new accounts system database by opening, maintaining, and closing customer accounts• Provides high level customer service in person and via telephone to assist customers with account inquiries and/or concerns• Builds trust with current and potential customers to understand their product/service needs, and provides solutions that will benefit them• Educates customers on Identity Theft and Fraud• Performs Teller responsibilities in accordance with the Teller job description• Actively reinforces and contributes towards the success of the bank• Engages and participates in community activities• Performs other duties as assigned by the leadership teamEDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or GED equivalent; a minimum 1-year retail customer service experience preferred but not required; and a minimum 1-year banking experience preferred.MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to sit and stand for extended periods of time, ability to bend, squat, and kneel on occasion, ability to lift 30 lbs. consistently, have the ability to prioritize, analyze and resolve problems, and possess strong time management and organizational skills.COMPETENCIESBasic computer skills required, math aptitude, strong written and oral presentation skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills, and the ability to handle high pressure situations while maintaining composure.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE• High school diploma or G.E.D.
