Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring for a contract banking position in Rosedale, MD. The role involves handling deposits, lending products, and card services for members, with duties including account research and cross-selling opportunities.

It is a fully onsite 40-hour-per-week role with occasional Saturdays. Required are 1-3 years of cash handling or teller experience, strong communication skills, and a High School Diploma.

Job Description

• To provide members and prospective members the full range of products and services offered by the client including depository accounts such as checking, savings, certificate IRA, revocable trust and estate accounts; Lending products; and credit/debit cards.
• To perform moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision.
• Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans
• Assist members with submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loan, overdraft protection and credit card applications
• Counsel current and prospective members about company products and services
• Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly
• Identify opportunities to cross service products and increase product penetration
• Perform platform banking functions

Experience

• 1-3 years of cash handling experience in in-person customer service, retail, and banking industry
• Bank Teller experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and via email.
• High School Diploma is required.

Schedule

• Full-time/ 40 hours per week
• MUST be available between Monday-Friday: 8:00am-6:00pm, Saturday: 8:00am-2:30pm
• Could be expected to work 2-3 Saturdays a month depending on business need

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Rosedale, MD.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.91 - $22.91/hr.
