Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA seeks a Finance/Revenue Cycle professional to perform daily reconciliations of cash receipts, EOBs, and deposits. The role monitors team productivity, coaches staff, and resolves routine and complex account inquiries.

You will reconcile bank activity, post electronic payments, and address EFT/ERA/EDI changes, while providing ad hoc reports and identifying improvement opportunities within the revenue cycle.

Formación

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field preferred.
• Experience: 5–6 years Medical Billing or Revenue Cycle experience required.
• Experience: 2 years Accounting or Cash Management experience required.
• Licenses/Certifications: CRCR - HFMA required.
• Training: Change Acceleration Process Training – RHS within 1 year required.

• Provide ad hoc reporting on reconciliation issues.

• Cover department in absence of management.

Salary and Location

Newport News, Virginia Hiring Range $19.70 - $25.63/Hourly. Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

Overview

Responsible for daily reconciliation of cash receipts, EOBs, electronic remittance advices and deposits to the bank statement. Monitors team productivity, provides coaching and training, and researches and responds to routine and complex account inquiries.

What you will do

• Reconciles daily cash receipts, EOBs electronic remittance advices and deposits.
• Reconciles daily bank download and diagnoses reconciliation issues.
• Monitors team productivity.
• Provides coaching and training to the team on various posting functions in all systems.
• Processes and posts electronic payments and batches payments for manual postings.
• Handles deposit payments electronically.
• Researches and responds to routine and complex account inquiries.
• Monitors and responds to inquiries from RHSCASH email.
• Handles payer enrollment in EFT/ERA/EDI and address changes.
• Obtains EOBs.
• Covers the department in the absence of management.
• Identifies issues and trends.
• Analyzes and brings recommendations for resolution or improvements.
• Provides Ad Hoc reporting to diagnosis reconciliation issues.
• Completes assigned work queues.

Qualifications

• Education High School Diploma or GED, (Required) Bachelors Degree, Business Administration, Finance or related field (Preferred)
• Experience 5-6 years Medical Billing or Revenue Cycle experience (Required)
• 2 years Accounting or Cash Management experience (Required)
• Licenses and Certifications CRCR - Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) (Required)
• Change Acceleration Process Training – Riverside Health System (RHS) within 1 Year (Required)
