Job summary

FirstBank in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a dedicated security investigations professional to lead fraud investigations and protect customers and bank assets. You will perform root cause analysis, partner with law enforcement, and develop training to reduce risk while ensuring compliance with banking laws and regulations.

The role requires strong communication, data analysis, and a thorough understanding of Reg E, UCC, and related disclosures.

Qualifications

Five years of experience in financial institution fraud investigations or corporate investigations.
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business, finance, economics, accounting, or related field preferred.
Professional certification like CFE preferred; designations may substitute for part of experience/education.
Experience evaluating fraud claims and making crediting decisions per UCC/Reg E/docs preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Initiate investigations of robbery, burglary, fraud, and other financial crimes against the Bank and customers.
Prepare written case summaries and document activities in the case management system.
Analyze fraud data and generate analytical reports; support risk management leadership.
