Job summary

Farmers and Merchants Bank of Long Beach is seeking a Messenger to support branch and Client Care Center operations in Seal Beach. You will follow the scheduled runs, pick up and deliver mail, interoffice items, and supplies between branches, while keeping vehicles clean and secure.

The role requires basic office skills and the ability to handle confidential information. This is a non-exempt position offering an hourly wage and California location support.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• General understanding of banking products, services, and organizational structure.

Responsibilities

• Follow established schedule for each assigned messenger run and pick up and deliver all work from the branches to the Client Care Center in the locked boxes in a timely manner.
• Pick up, transport, and distribute interoffice and inter-branch mail to the appropriate departments and branch locations.
• Pick up, deliver, and distribute supplies, materials, and operational items between branches and the Client Care Center.
• Maintain responsibility for the care, cleanliness, and routine inspection of the assigned delivery vehicle and promptly report maintenance or mechanical issues to management.
• Maintain a safe driving record and operate the vehicle in a responsible manner while ensuring the security and confidentiality of all transported documents, mail, and materials.
• Ensure assigned vehicles remain properly secured at all times and comply with all safety and security procedures.
• Provide friendly, professional, and courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
