Overview

The Sales and Production Associate will perform various duties in the store and production area, maintaining order, fostering a pleasant work environment, and building good customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a welcoming environment and maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Support store operations as needed.
• Serve customers courteously and efficiently.
• Handle donations with respect and care.
• Manage merchandise properly, maintaining correct categories and color coding.
• Ensure store is stocked and organized according to the rag out calendar.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining store property.
• Report theft, complaints, injuries, and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Keep work areas clean and clutter-free.
• Follow the Guide to Thrift Store & Donation Center Operations manual relevant to this role.
• Support community service and volunteers by demonstrating professionalism and supervision as directed.
• Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors or managers.

Additional duties based on store needs include:

• Cashier/Sales Floor: Handle cash, restock merchandise, maintain displays, answer phones.
• Sorter: Sort garments by department, assist with moving donations, hang merchandise.
• Hanger/Tagger: Hang and ticket clothing, assist with moving and sorting donations.
• Pricer: Price garments, maintain knowledge of merchandise value, assist with moving and ticketing items.
• Runner: Move garments to sales floor, maintain racks, rag out merchandise.
• Bric a Brac, Shoes/Accessories, Domestics, Books/Records/Toys, Furniture/Electrical: Sort, clean, price, and process items for sale, maintain organized displays, and rag out merchandise according to schedule.
• Receiving Donations/Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness, accept donations courteously, safeguard materials, and assist with ragging and lawn/garden work.
