Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Bander Operator for the 2nd shift (2pm-10pm). The role covers setup, operation, cleanup and improvement suggestions for the unitizer and related equipment.

Starting pay is $20.60 per hour with shift differential. Benefits begin day one and include life insurance, 401(k) matching, attendance bonuses up to $1000 yearly, PTO at six months, extensive tuition reimbursement, and internal promotion opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred: corrugated industry experience.
• Preferred: 6 months in Press or Finishing Department.
• Preferred: prior forklift operator experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate the unitizer and related equipment with proper setup and safety.
• Ensure correct placement of unit tags and cover sheets; maintain proper stacking patterns.
• Scan barcodes on units moving through the unitizer.
• Prepare neat units with correct number of bands per unit.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at available capacity and speed.
• Complete timely reports (Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, Quality Data).
• Adhere to production schedule and suggest schedule improvements as needed.
• Comply with company policies including safety and housekeeping.
