Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Bander Operator for the 1st shift (6am-2pm). The role involves operating the unitizer and related equipment, ensuring correct banding, tagging, and safe handling of units.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 6 months experience in the Press or Finishing Department.
• Prior work experience as a forklift operator is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the unitizer and equipment with proper setup and safe handling.
• Ensure correct placement of unit tags and cover sheets; maintain stacking patterns.
• Scan barcodes on units going through unitizer.
• Maintain neat units with proper number of bands.
• Maximize equipment utilization while meeting capacity and speed requirements.
• Complete reports accurately (Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, Quality Data).
• Follow production schedule and assist in optimizing scheduling.
• Follow safety, housekeeping, and company policies.
