Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week travel assignment in Baltimore, MD. You will provide perioperative care, prepare the OR, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires 1 year of OR RN experience, active RN license, and BLS certification, with preferred ACLS/PALS/ENPC or CNOR. Travel benefits and competitive pay accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• One year of operating room RN experience
• Current RN license in the relevant state
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile operating room and equipment
• Assist with patient positioning and safety during procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control protocols
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team and hand instruments promptly
• Monitor patient status during surgery and document changes
• Handle instrument processing, disposal, and specimen transport
• Document perioperative care accurately and completely
• Participate in pre- and post-operative handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Restock and clean the OR between cases per policy
• Adhere to hospital policies, PPE use, and safety rules
