Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a 13-week assignment in Baltimore, MD. The RN will provide comprehensive critical care in an ICU setting, working 12-hour night shifts as part of a dedicated clinical team.

You will be responsible for assessing critically ill patients, managing life-support equipment, administering complex treatments, and documenting care with attention to safety and quality. This travel role offers competitive pay and robust traveler support.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an CVICU RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
• CCRN certification is preferred
• TNCC, NIHSS certification may be required
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition
• Administer complex medications and treatments per critical care nursing techniques
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in high-acuity ICU environments
• Document all assessments and interventions accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
• Provide education to patients and families regarding ICU care and recovery expectations
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICU outcomes
