Job summary

Element U.S. Space & Defense in Camden, AR is seeking a full-time Ballistics Technician to perform tests in the ballistics department. The role involves testing energetic and inert projectiles, reading specs, and documenting data for program managers.

You will help maintain lab equipment, input data, and interact with customers as needed. Some travel and physical lab work are possible; a HS Diploma or GED with related training is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED; AA/AS or ballistics certificate or military training preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in ballistics testing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ballistics & mechanical principles; safety practices.
• Able to use standard ballistics equipment; capture data; understand AC/DC circuits.
• Basic MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Test setup: read specs, identify test equipment from documents.
• Perform testing: monitor tests, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, document data.
• Data processing: verify, review, and document data; finalize and send to PM.
• Lab maintenance/post-test: clean, calibrate, organize supplies, breakdown test setup.
• Other duties as assigned.
