UDC - Ultra Defense Corp. is seeking a Ballistic Test Engineer to develop, execute, and improve test methods for ammunition and munitions products.

You will ensure safety, compliance, and qualification across programs, working with engineering, quality, program management, and external authorities. The role emphasizes setting up ballistic test equipment, analyzing results with modeling tools, and leading destructive tests for new systems, while maintaining documentation and procedures.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of ballistic testing or munitions engineering experience.
• Strong test-development and data-analysis capabilities.
• Experience developing technical test procedures and documentation.
• Ability to interpret test results and communicate findings across multidisciplinary teams.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement test plans and protocols for ammunition across calibers.
• Create and maintain work instructions and SOPs for energetic and non-energetic items.
• Set up and troubleshoot ballistic test equipment and systems.
• Analyze ballistic test data and apply ballistics modeling tools to evaluate performance.
• Develop safety procedures and participate in audits to ensure compliance with BATFE, OSHA, and DoD standards.
• Plan and lead destructive and exploratory tests for new munitions and devices.
• Coordinate with design authorities to identify test requirements and source equipment.
• Support QA and PM with technical reporting and acceptance tests.
