Church & Dwight in Old Fort, OH is seeking a Baking Soda Packaging Mechanic to maintain, time and repair high-speed packaging equipment so production meets specifications.
You will read mechanical and electrical blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, and set up lines for startup. The role requires welding and machining basics, and overtime/weekend availability.

MAJOR PHYSICAL TASKS:
Pushing carts Carts are stacked with cardboard packaging boxes and can weigh up to 100 pounds
Lifting motors Loading and unloading motors weighing no more than 40 lbs. Lifting is done only for a short period.
Loading cartons and containers Lifting bundles of boxes to hip height and placing them onto feed hopper.
Lifting boxes to the glue tote Refilling the hot glue machine reservoir with pellets. Requires climbing one flight of stairs and lifting the box to chest height.
Maintenance to machinery with tools Maintaining packaging machines with hand tools and basic repairs.
Climbing stairs while carrying. One flight. Accessing glue tote.
